POLICIES
DOMU® stands behind the quality of all our products and designs. DOMU products are constructed using eco-friendly materials and fabricated in California to precise standards. Your satisfaction is important to us!

PAYMENT METHODS
For your convenience, DOMU® accepts VISA, Mastercard, and Paypal, which typically process within 24 hours of order placement. We will process payment for orders placed on weekends or holidays on the next business day. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

Please note that prices and available inventory are subject to change until an order is confirmed.

SHIPPING
We carefully choose the delivery service that is best to ensure that your order is delivered in premium condition. Orders are shipped from our studio by either USPS, or UPS Ground Shipping and handling fees will be charged based on shipment weight/volume and delivery destination.

We do not ship outside of the USA or Canada.

Shipping estimates are for time in transit only, and do not apply until the product leaves our warehouse. Once your order has been shipped, DOMU® cannot assume liability for late deliveries, or shipment loss.

CANCELLATIONS/RETURNS:
We will accept cancellation of your order for items that have not shipped or that are on backorder.

If an item arrives damaged, notify us immediately so that we may work with you to arrange a return, replacement, refund or credit.

No returns are accepted after 30 days, or after they have been used. Orders will receive refunds in the form of a credit to their payment account. Please make sure to keep your receipt and return the item in its original packaging.

SALES TAX
DOMU® is required to collect sales tax in the state of California, where we have our design and fabrication operations. 

PRIVACY POLICY
DOMU® takes your privacy seriously. We treat our customers exactly as we would want to personally be treated from a sales web site. We promise to not use your name, sell your name or in any way, nor profit from your personal information. LOG-IN is for your convenience only to receive occasional news about our architecture, or to contact you in case of a problem with your order.

DOMU® is a certified licensee of the TRUSTe® Privacy Seal Program. The privacy statement and practices of www.domudesign.com have been reviewed by TRUSTe for compliance with our strict program requirements.

SECURITY
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All orders are transmitted over secure Internet connections using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology. All of your personal information including your credit card information is stored in encrypted format at all times. This Website, and more importantly all user information, is further protected by a multi-layer firewall based security system.

DOMU® commitment to sustainable products and packaging

No Toxic Materials
Our finishes and materials produce no safety hazards or toxic out-gassing for our customers.
Our powder coated formed steel products are finished with a process of powder coating that meets or exceeds environmental regulations and ISO 14001 Certification. Our premium stainless steel products have no added finishes.

Reduce Emissions and Waste
Because our goal is to reduce emissions, waste and the use of natural resources we have our products manufactured within 100 miles of our headquarters in California. We are not shipping from across the ocean. We support the local businesses and their families and try to make as little global footprint as possible.

Sustainable Packaging Practices
In accordance with the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, we believe that packaging should:
-Be safe & healthy for individuals and communities throughout its life cycle
-Be sourced or manufactured, and recycled using renewable energy
-Maximize the use of renewable or recycled source materials
-Be made from materials healthy in all probable end of life scenarios;

Shredded paper (use for fire kindling in your efficient woodstove, compost, or recycle)
Brown Kraft paper (use for fire kindling in your efficient woodstove, compost, or recycle or lay under mulch for better weed control in your garden)

Recycled Boxes (re-use, recycle or lay under mulch for better weed control in your garden)

All packaging has been carefully considered to have our products arrive in perfect condition to our customers, and not to burden our customers and the world with non-recyclable packing materials. In addition to Kraft paper we use corrugated cardboard. The products are shipped surrounded by shredded office paper in recycled double wall boxes from a local computer facility.

Our ‘cradle to cradle’ policy
Cradle-to-cradle is what we believe in, as opposed to the cradle-to-grave life cycle of most manufactured goods. We assume that your products will give you years of sturdy use, but if you decide you no longer have use for them, please make sure nothing ends up as landfill.
Stainless steel and formed steel products can be purchased for their market recycle value. We encourage you to take it back to your local recycler and get the market value for stainless steel and other steel products.

If the above is not an option for you, DOMU® will buy back any product for which the end user no longer has use at the current market recycle value based on weight and material.
