DOMU [latin: of the home ] is a design and architecture firm specializing in products and buildings that give regenerative beauty + practicality back to the world.

Domu Design™ is an avenue to bring responsible and beautiful design into the world and is committed to a sustainable and simple world
Domu Design™ [the product division] began one evening as Laura attempted to hang a picture on her plaster wall. A few hours and quite a few large holes later she decided there has to be a better way to organize wall photos and the DISPLAY SHELF 48" long came to life! The wall organizing system kept expanding to accommodate simple and practical ways to display and store things on walls in every room. DOMU designed 7 simples items which can work for many household items: Toilet paper bins, soap shelves, paper towel holders, coat hooks, towel holders, towel bins, spice shelves, kitchen shelves, shoe shelf, magazine holder, etc...

No Toxic Materials
Our finishes and materials produce no safety hazards or toxic out-gassing.
Our premium stainless steel products have no added finishes.
Reduce Emissions and Waste
Because our goal is to reduce emissions, waste and the use of natural resources we have our products manufactured within 100 miles of our headquarters in California. We are not shipping from across the ocean. We support the local businesses and their families and try to make as little global footprint as possible.
Sustainable Packaging Practices
In accordance with the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, we believe that packaging should:
• Be safe & healthy for individuals and communities throughout its life cycle
• Be sourced or manufactured, and recycled using renewable energy
• Maximize the use of renewable or recycled source materials
• Be made from materials healthy in all probable end of life scenarios
We encourage composting and/or recycling packaging (or re-use as we have.)
